The Radium 20-0279-FL Crankcase Vent (CCV) Catch Can Kit fits the Mustang GT in the S197 chassis from 2011 to 2014. It mounts on the front left engine bank and installs inline between the crankcase breather port and the air filter inlet pipe. The catch can separates oil and water condensation from the crankcase gases before they are drawn into the intake, preventing oil build-up in the intake, intercooler system, throttle body and intake manifold. This effectively raises octane, can improve performance through cleaner inlet air and can lower hydrocarbon emissions, while the closed system keeps oil vapour out of the cabin.

Radium's Fluid Lock design, introduced in 2022, adds a patented mechanism that stops the reservoir overfilling and traps the collected fluid until the can is emptied, so contaminants can't spill into the intake if servicing is missed.

Important Notes

• CCV side only – pair with the 20-0267-FL PCV kit or choose the 20-0324-FL dual kit for full coverage
• For 2015-2017 S550 Mustang GT the CCV kit is 20-0287-FL
• There is no fixed emptying interval – start checking the integrated dipstick after 3-4 weeks of driving and adjust from there; PCV cans generally collect more than CCV cans
• Empty by unscrewing the lower reservoir, or fit the optional petcock drain kit where there is space under the can
• Excessive collection can point to an engine issue such as blow-by from engine damage, crankcase windage from an overfilled oil level, poor breather port placement or baffling, or a PCV valve not closing under heavy load
