A fuel surge tank prevents fuel starvation in vehicles with poor tank baffling. A lift pump – usually the OEM in-tank pump – fills the surge tank, and its fuel volume keeps the MPFST-R pump(s) supplied through momentary lift-pump starvation. The volume is maintained by the lift pump and by fuel returning from the built-in regulator, with excess fuel returning to the main tank.

The MPFST-R is returnless: the built-in RA-series regulator sends low-pressure fuel back into the surge tank, so no external regulator return line is needed and the single feed line dead-ends at the engine. It accepts 1, 2 or 3 pumps.

• Gauge Port: 1/8in NPT port for a fuel pressure gauge or sensor
• Multi-Pump: 1, 2 or 3 pumps merged through the regulator outlet
• High-Current Electrical: Anti-rotation high-current electrical studs
• Mounting: Mounting feet suit M6 or 1/4in fasteners
• Fuel Compatibility: Internal wiring is petrol, ethanol and methanol compliant

• 20-1446: DeatschWerks DW400, Bosch BR540 – 1, 2 or 3 pumps (BR540 has no check valve – primary pump only when staged; only 2 pumps fit with the optional level switch)
• 20-1447: Walbro F90000267, F90000274, F90000285, F90000295 – 1, 2 or 3 pumps (F90000295 has no check valve – primary pump only when staged)

Important Notes

• Fuel pumps, gauge, level switch and LED indicator are not included
• The overflow port cannot be capped
• Vehicles without a return on the tank need a return port created (see Radium's technical data sheet)
• Plugging the vacuum reference gives constant fuel pressure
• Use PTFE thread sealant on NPT threads and bench-test the level switch signal direction before installing
