Radium catch cans separate oil and water condensation from crankcase gases before they reach the intake, preventing oil build-up in the intake, intercooler, throttle body and intake manifold. Cleaner inlet air raises effective octane and improves performance, lowers hydrocarbon emissions, and the closed system keeps oil vapour out of the cabin.

The 20-0378-FL crankcase kit runs inline with the crankcase vent port. Flow is low at light load, but at wide-open throttle the vent sees high blow-by flow that would otherwise leave oil in the intake pipe and intercooler. The can secures to the two ECU mounting studs on the rear left-hand side of the engine bay and fits under the OEM engine cover.

Important Notes

• RHD vehicles: the ECU cover near the battery is metal, and Radium's instructions state it must be modified to fit the crankcase catch can
• Covers the crankcase vent side only – the PCV side is covered by 20-0377-FL, or buy both as 20-0379-FL
• There is no set emptying interval – check the dipstick from 3-4 weeks and adjust; PCV systems typically collect more than CCV systems
• Excessive collection can indicate an engine problem such as blow-by, an overfilled crankcase, poor breather placement or a PCV valve that does not close under load
