Radium Engineering Fluid Lock Crankcase Catch Can Kit for Mitsubishi Evo 7-9

Radium Fluid Lock Crankcase Catch Can Kit - Mitsubishi Evo 7-9

Application: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII / IX
Part Type: Crankcase vent (CCV) Fluid Lock catch can kit (LH)
Part Number: 20-0117-FL

Radium Evo catch can kits separate oil and water condensation from crankcase gases before they reach the intake, keeping build-up out of the intake, intercooler piping, throttle body and intake manifold. As a closed system they also keep oil vapour out of the cabin. Radium's Fluid Lock® design (introduced in 2022) uses a patented internal mechanism that stops the reservoir from overfilling and holds collected fluid until the can is emptied, so oil cannot spill back into the induction system.

The crankcase kit mounts beside the left-hand strut tower and plumbs inline with the crankcase vent hose running from the valve cover to the turbo intake pipe, helping keep oil out of the intercooler and piping.

Key Features

• Fluid Lock®: Patented mechanism prevents overfilling and traps collected fluid until emptied
• Large Ports: 10AN ORB inlet and outlet, 4AN ORB drain port
• 2-Step Separation: Internal baffling separates oil and water condensation from crankcase gases
• O-Ring Sealed Dipstick: Check the oil level without removing the can
• Direct Fit: Vehicle-specific bracket – no drilling required

What's Included

• 1x Billet catch can with integrated condenser and dipstick
• 1x Laser-cut LH mounting bracket
• Anodised hose ends and adapter fittings
• Black PCV hose
• Stainless steel mounting hardware

Optional Parts

• Radium Fluid Lock PCV Catch Can Kit - Mitsubishi Evo 7-9 (20-0116-FL) – matching PCV-side can (LHD vehicles only)
• Radium Catch Can Petcock Drain Kit (20-0024) – remote drain for easier servicing where space allows

Important Notes

• There is no fixed emptying interval – check the dipstick after 3–4 weeks of driving and adjust from there; PCV cans typically collect more than crankcase (CCV) cans
• Empty by unscrewing the lower reservoir, or fit the optional Petcock Drain Kit where there is clearance
• Excessive oil collection can indicate engine issues such as excessive blow-by, an overfilled sump, poor breather placement/baffling or a PCV valve that does not close under load
• Installation instructions are available in the Instructions tab
