Description
Radium CCV Fluid Lock Catch Can Kit, Cadillac CTS-V (2009-2015)
Application: Cadillac CTS-V 2009–2015 (LSA)
Part Type: CCV Fluid Lock oil catch can kit
Part Number: 20-0563-FL
The Radium 20-0563-FL CCV catch can kit mounts to three OEM threaded bosses at the rear of the supercharger housing on the 2009–2015 Cadillac CTS-V, running inline between the crankcase vent (CCV) ports and the intake pipe so factory functionality is retained. At low load this circuit sees atmospheric pressure, but at high load (WOT) the vents see high flow out of the crankcase, which would normally leave oil and sludge in the intake pipe and intercooler, reducing the intercooler's thermal efficiency.
Separating oil and water condensation from the crankcase gases keeps oil build-up out of the intake, intercooler, throttle body and intake manifold. This effectively raises octane, can improve performance from cleaner inlet air and can lower hydrocarbon emissions, and the closed system keeps oil vapour out of the cabin. Radium's Fluid Lock can (introduced with the 2022 redesign of its 7 fl oz catch can) uses a patented mechanism that prevents the reservoir from overfilling and traps the collected fluid until the can is emptied, so a can that misses a service can't pour contaminants back into the intake.
Key Features
- Fluid Lock: Patented Fluid Lock mechanism stops the reservoir overfilling and traps collected fluid until the can is emptied
- Large Ports: 10AN ORB inlet and outlet ports
- Drain Port: 4AN ORB drain port
- 2-Step Baffling: Two-step oil separation baffling
- Dipstick: O-ring sealed dipstick to check the fluid level
- Pressure Sealed: No extra inline check valve is required
- Direct Fitment: Vehicle-specific bracket, no drilling required
- Supercharger Mount: Mounts to three OEM threaded bosses at the rear of the supercharger housing
What's Included
- Baffled Fluid Lock oil catch can
- CTS-V-specific mounting bracket
- AN adapter fittings and hose ends
- Stainless steel hardware
- Radium PCV hose
Optional Parts
- Radium PCV Fluid Lock Catch Can Kit, Cadillac CTS-V (2009-2015) (20-1562-FL) – recommended pairing – covers the PCV side of the crankcase
- Radium Dual Fluid Lock Catch Can Kit, Cadillac CTS-V (2009-2015) (20-1564-FL) – PCV and CCV kits combined in one part number
- Radium Catch Can Petcock Drain Kit (20-0024) – drain the can without removing the lower reservoir, where there is space under the can
Important Notes
- The CCV kit does not address blow-by from the PCV valve side of the crankcase – Radium recommends using it with the 20-1562-FL PCV kit
- There is no fixed emptying interval – start checking the integrated dipstick after 3–4 weeks of driving and adjust from there; PCV cans generally collect more than CCV cans. Empty by unscrewing the lower reservoir, or fit the Petcock Drain Kit where there is space under the can
- Excessive collection can point to an engine issue such as blow-by from engine damage, crankcase windage from an overfilled oil level, poor breather port placement or baffling, or a PCV valve not closing and leaking under heavy load
- Installation instructions are available in the Instructions tab
