The Radium PCV catch can kit runs inline between the PCV valve and the intake manifold. When manifold pressure is near or above atmospheric the PCV valve closes and the hose sees no flow, but at idle, steady-state cruise and deceleration it sees metered vacuum that would otherwise draw crankcase vapour, oil and water condensation into the intake. Radium catch cans are pressure sealed, so no extra inline check valve is required.

The can mounts to threaded bosses just behind the RH strut tower near the firewall with no drilling. Radium's patented Fluid Lock system (introduced with the 2022 redesign of its 7 fl oz catch can) prevents overfilling and traps collected fluids until the can is emptied, so an unserviced can can't release contaminants back into the intake.

Important Notes

• Not compatible with vehicles equipped with cruise control
• No fixed emptying interval – check the integrated dipstick from 3–4 weeks of driving; PCV cans typically collect more than CCV cans. Empty by unscrewing the lower reservoir, or fit the Petcock Drain Kit where space allows
• Excessive oil collection can indicate an engine issue such as excessive blow-by, crankcase windage from overfilled oil, poor breather port placement or baffling, or a PCV valve leaking under load
