This Radium install kit fits a Radium Fuel Surge Tank (FST) with a single 39mm fuel pump to the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII and IX, eliminating fuel starvation in all driving conditions. The FST mounts in the boot, centred behind the rear seat in a collision-safe area, leaving most of the boot usable.

The aluminium bracket mounts to the V-brace in front of the rear seat carpet cover, and the FST sits on a black anodised bracket isolated through the OEM carpet cover to reduce pump noise and vibration. The wiring uses flying leads with Raychem solderless butt splices and a weatherproof fuse and relay, so assembly takes under 30 minutes with no soldering.

Important Notes

• Radium lists this kit for the Evolution VIII and IX only
• The fuel surge tank and surge tank fuel pump are sold separately
• Not designed for the Radium MPFST
• A slightly higher static fuel pressure is normal with a high-flow pump due to the OEM return port restriction – the OEM venturi jet pump in that port can be modified to improve return flow (covered in the instructions)
• A drop-in main tank pump upgrade may be required – as an estimate, the main tank pump should flow roughly 40–50% of the surge tank pump's flow
