The Radium FPR-D combines a fully functional, adjustable high-performance fuel pressure regulator and a fuel pulse damper in one high-flow unit. The integrated damper smooths out the pressure pulses created by injector operation and the fuel pump, giving a steadier fuel pressure signal.

Like all RA-series regulators it features tool-less pressure adjustment and a 360° swivelling vacuum reference port, and it can be mounted in any orientation – even upside down.

Important Notes

• Single inlet and single return port – cannot be used in a dead-head system and must be plumbed after the fuel rail (use the Radium MPR for dead-head systems)
• Not for use with mechanical fuel pumps or direct-injection high-pressure pumps – their pulses will quickly rupture the damper diaphragms
• Damper works most efficiently at 2.8-7.2 bar (40-105 psi) static base pressure; outside this range the damper vacuum/boost reference line is required
• Use a medium-strength wicking thread locker on the vacuum fitting; returnless systems require the vacuum plug
• A rapid fuel pressure drop after the engine or pump is switched off is normal for aftermarket regulators – pressure resets as soon as the pump is reactivated
• Long cranking or slow pressure build-up is not caused by the regulator – it usually points to the feed line draining back to the tank (e.g. a leaking pump module, venturi jet pump or missing check valve)
