The Radium Engineering Dynamic Safety Valve (DSV) is a quick-fill vent valve that must be used when a dry break refuelling system is added to a Radium FCST, FCST-X or any fuel cell or tank with a 12AN ORB female vent port. It performs two jobs: it shuts off the vent when the tank is full, and it provides roll-over protection.

When the tank fills, the upper sealing ball floats up and closes the vent so fuel cannot rise into the vent line. A small amount of air pressure then builds in the cell and the dump can begins to "chug", signalling that the cell is full and the dry break can be released – so there is no need to watch the filling process. This low fill version suits fuel cells with a small width-by-length footprint and a shorter height to the filler, shutting off venting sooner to prevent overfilling. It is machined in one piece from billet 6061 aluminium with a Type-II anodised finish.

Important Notes

• Internally mounted DSV designed for use with pressureless "vented" dry break receivers
• The top (shut-off) ball must sit lower than the highest point of the fuel fill point
• At least one section of vent tubing (not included) must sit above the highest point of the fuel fill point
• Do not use a DSV with standard-style fuel fillers – use the 20-0934 roll-over valve instead
• Not compatible with very early 20-014X-XX FCST units, which have 8AN ORB vent ports only
• If fuel ejects from the dry break receiver vent during or after refuelling, the shut-off point is too high
