Designed to meet the refuelling rules of sanctioning bodies such as WRL (World Racing League) and ZRS (Zenith), this Radium Engineering restrictor press-fits into the inlet of a 1.5in dry break probe to limit the fuelling path to 1in.

It is machined from 6061 aluminium and Type II anodised for corrosion resistance, and the laser-engraved "1-IN RESTRICTOR" marking shows compliance at tech inspection. The 31.6mm (1.24in) press-fit outer diameter suits most 1.5in dry break probes.

Important Notes

• ZRS rule 6.2: the fuelling path must include a 25.4mm (1.00in) internal diameter restrictor between the container and the filler / dry break, and may be audited in tech or pit lane at any time
• WRL D.3.j: the narrowest point of the hose, nozzle or funnel spout must be no larger than 1.000in ID and made of a solid material
• WRL D.3.m: cars using a quick disconnect / dry break for overflow need a restriction of no more than 1.000in between the QD/DB and the container, including the vent side of a double dry break system where the vent returns to the dump can; vent jugs must be marked per D.3.a
• Installation: press-fit the restrictor into the dry break probe inlet, then refit the tubing to the dry break and dump can barbs; diagonal cutters can be used to cinch the clamps if pinch clamp pliers are not available
• Radium's installation steps refer to replacement tubing and clamps – confirm with iilumolab whether these are supplied with the restrictor
