The Radium 20-0786-FL CCV Catch Can Kit fits inline between the crankcase vent (CCV) port and the intake pipe on the 2005-2013 Corvette C6. At high load (WOT) the vents see high flow out of the crankcase, which would normally leave oil and sludge in the air filter intake pipe – the catch can intercepts it.

The anodised aluminium bracket mounts to the RH hood latch, the kit works with the OEM engine cover, and it suits both wet sump (LS2, LS3) and dry sump (LS3, LS7, LS9) engines – on dry sump engines the crankcase vent comes from the oil reservoir. A catch can separates oil and water condensation from the crankcase gases before they reach the intake, helping to keep oil out of the intake tract, intercooler, throttle body and intake manifold. Cleaner inlet air can improve performance and lower hydrocarbon emissions, and the closed system keeps oil vapour out of the cabin.

Each can uses Radium's Fluid Lock design, introduced in 2022: a patented mechanism stops the reservoir from overfilling and traps the collected fluid until it is emptied, so contaminants can't be drawn back into the intake if servicing is missed.

Important Notes

• This kit covers the crankcase vent (CCV) side only – for PCV and CCV together see the 20-0787-FL dual kit
• After installation, check that the RH hood lock still latches correctly
• For C5 Corvettes with the LS1 / LS6, see Radium 20-0260-FL
• There is no fixed emptying interval – start checking the integrated dipstick after 3–4 weeks of driving and adjust from there; PCV cans generally collect more than CCV cans
• Empty by unscrewing the lower reservoir, or fit the optional petcock drain kit where there is space under the can
• Excessive collection can point to an engine issue such as blow-by from engine damage, crankcase windage from an overfilled oil level, poor breather port placement or baffling, or a PCV valve leaking under heavy load
