Description
Radium RA-Series FPR Conversion Kit, Green
Application: Radium adjustable fuel pressure regulators – DMR, MPR and FPR damper (all generations), and Radium hangers / surge tanks with an integrated regulator
Part Type: FPR conversion kit, RA-Series
Part Number: 20-1101-01
This Radium Engineering kit converts previous Radium adjustable fuel pressure regulators to the RA-Series design, adding the newest features and performance improvements to older regulators.
RA-Series regulators offer tool-less pressure adjustment – no jam nut or set screw, just turn the knob – with detents that give haptic feedback and roughly 1psi (+/-0.5psi) per click. A redesigned single stainless steel return orifice generates laminar flow for better pressure stability, and the 360 degree swivelling, double O-ring sealed vacuum reference port can be pointed in any direction without tools.
Key Features
- Tool-less Adjustment: Turn the knob; detents give about 1psi (+/-0.5psi) per click
- Minimum Pressure: 1.3bar (18.5psi)
- Maximum Pressure: Not limited by the regulator – set by the pump relief valve or pump controller current limit
- Vacuum Reference: 1:1 rising rate, 360 degree swivel, double O-ring sealed, four interchangeable #10-32 fittings
- Return Orifice: Single stainless steel orifice for laminar flow and stability
- Fuel Compatibility: All petrol types (unleaded, leaded, oxygenated, premixed) and alcohol blends incl. methanol, ethanol and E85
What's Included
- Upper rotating assembly
- 5mm (3/16in) barbed vacuum fitting
- Vacuum plug fitting (returnless)
- 1/4in push-to-connect vacuum fitting
- 3AN male vacuum fitting
- Anodised half-moon retainers
- Stainless steel return orifice
- Stainless steel button head screws
- Stainless steel spring
- Fluorosilicone diaphragm
Important Notes
- Use a wicking medium-strength threadlocker on the vacuum fitting
- Radium's instructions: return orifice 4.0Nm (35 in-lb), top cap screws 0.7Nm (6 in-lb) in a cross pattern; do not reuse the old spring hat
- A rapid fall in fuel pressure after the pump shuts off is normal for high-flow aftermarket regulators and is not a defect – pressure resets as soon as the pump runs
- Long cranking or slow pressure build is unrelated to the regulator – check for feed line drain-back (e.g. a jet pump leak or missing pump check valve)
- The vacuum plug is for returnless systems where the regulator cannot be vacuum referenced
- Installation instructions are available in the Instructions tab
Vehicle Fitment
- Radium Direct Mount Regulator (DMR) – all generations
- Radium Multi-Port Regulator (MPR) – all generations
- Radium Fuel Pressure Regulator Damper – all generations
- Radium hangers and surge tanks with integrated regulator
