Radium catch cans separate oil and water condensation from crankcase gases before they reach the intake, preventing oil build-up in the intake, intercooler, throttle body and intake manifold. Cleaner inlet air raises effective octane and improves performance, lowers hydrocarbon emissions, and the closed system keeps oil vapour out of the cabin.

The 20-0424-FL PCV kit runs inline with the PCV valve and retains its factory function. Under boost the check valve closes and the hose sees no flow, but at idle, cruise and deceleration it sees metered vacuum that can draw vapour and oil sludge into the intake – especially right after a hard run. No inline check valve is needed as the can is pressure sealed. The kit mounts to the right-hand firewall with no modifications.

Important Notes

• Radium states this PCV kit is designed for LHD vehicles and lists the FL5 and DE5 as LHD only – fitment to RHD (Australian-delivered) cars is not confirmed by Radium; contact us before ordering
• Covers the PCV side only – the crankcase vent side is covered by 20-0825-FL, or buy both as 20-0826-FL
• There is no set emptying interval – check the dipstick from 3-4 weeks and adjust; PCV systems typically collect more than CCV systems
• Excessive collection can indicate an engine problem such as blow-by, an overfilled crankcase, poor breather placement or a PCV valve that does not close under load
