This Radium kit makes removing the rear clamshell on the Series 2 Lotus Elise quick and easy. Combined with a few simple modifications detailed in the instructions, removal can be reduced to under 10 minutes – making engine service easier and reducing labour costs for repairs.
The modification separates the deck lid hinge mounting points from the firewall, and the included billet aluminium hinge brace restores structure to the hinge support member. The factory steel body shims taped to the rear subframe and upper roll bar mount are replaced with aluminium shims that bolt in place with stainless countersink hardware, and black anodised billet spacers replace the factory steel roll of body shim washers.
