Description
Radium FPD-R/FPD-XR Inline Fuel Pulse Damper Kit
Application: Universal – EFI fuel systems
Part Type: Inline fuel pulse damper (FPD-R / FPD-XR)
Part Number: 20-0199, 20-0200
The Radium Inline Fuel Pulse Damper helps maintain safe, consistent fuel pressure. Injector opening and closing creates pressure pulses in the fuel rail that can cause idle surge with high-flow injectors and lean "stumbling" spikes; the damper's internal diaphragm absorbs these pulses to stabilise pressure.
The inline body has female 8AN ORB ports on each end and is not flow-direction specific, with a centre 1/8in NPT port for a gauge or sensor. A vacuum/boost reference port maintains performance at elevated fuel pressures, and the damper is safe with all fuel types including E85.
Key Features
- Inline Design: Female 8AN ORB (3/4"-16) ports, not flow-direction specific
- Gauge/Sensor Port: Centre 1/8in NPT port, plug included
- Vacuum/Boost Reference: Maintains performance at elevated fuel pressure
- Mount Anywhere: Any angle, including upside down
- All Fuels: Compatible with E85 and all fuel types
Available Configurations
- 20-0199: FPD-R inline damper – base static pressure 40–70 psi
- 20-0200: FPD-XR inline damper – base static pressure 40–105 psi
What's Included
- Inline fuel pulse damper (R or XR as selected)
- 1/8in NPT hex plug
- M6 x 1mm mounting bolts and nuts
- Rubber vacuum hose, 4mm ID
- Vacuum hose Y-fitting
Important Notes
- Inline kits do not include plumbing – an 8AN ORB adapter fitting is required on each port
- Not to be used with mechanical fuel pumps (including direct injection)
- Base pressure is measured with the pump running and no vacuum line connected to the regulator – choose the damper whose range covers your base pressure
- Dynamic pressure from a rising-rate FPR outside the range is acceptable provided base pressure is in range and the vacuum/boost reference line is connected
- Keep the damper away from high-temperature areas that could heat the fuel or damage internal components
- Mount with two holes drilled 25.4mm (1in) apart using a 6.75mm (17/64in) drill
- Installation instructions are available in the Instructions tab
