Coolant expansion tanks are necessary for proper air bleeding in applications with a rear-mounted radiator or a low-mounted radiator such as a V-Mount, but they are also valuable in a conventional radiator setup. A traditional cooling system needs air in the top of the radiator at low temperatures to allow for heat expansion; an expansion tank lets the radiator stay 100% filled with coolant in all conditions.
The Radium Engineering Universal Coolant Tank holds 1240mL and is a multi-piece design CNC machined from billet 6061 aluminium. It has two internal chambers that are not isolated from each other, with cross-over passages at the top and bottom. A pressure cap is not included – the billet receiver accepts Type-A "radiator" caps.

Important Notes
- This is not a coolant overflow tank – it is designed to be part of the pressurised coolant system
