This aluminium fitting has a 10AN male thread and a 16.6mm diameter press-in section. As a press-in fitting it is designed for the USDM Mitsubishi Evolution VIII–IX magnesium valve cover, where it replaces the PCV valve bushing – so installation does not require valve cover removal.

The fitting is machined to extremely close tolerances for a tight fit, and it can also be used as a weld-in bung for universal applications on aluminium surfaces.

Important Notes

• NOT compatible with the JDM Evo IV–IX valve cover, which uses a different PCV valve
• The aluminium fitting cannot be welded to the magnesium valve cover – only weld to aluminium surfaces
• For press-in installation, freeze the fitting for 5–10 minutes before pressing it in with a rubber mallet; a small gap under the hex is normal when correctly seated
• For weld-in installation, drill a 17mm (43/64") hole and enlarge only as needed for a press fit; mask the threads if painting or powder coating
• Protect the 37 degree flare sealing surface with a 10AN cap or hose end during installation
• Hold the fitting with a 7/8" spanner when attaching a hose end
