A fuel cell vent lets air escape as the cell is filled and lets filtered air back in as fuel is used, so the tank can breathe and does not pressurise during normal operation. The Radium 12AN Fuel Cell Vent Kit is the high-flow version, designed for quick-fill systems that typically use a dry break and dump can.

Radium notes that these vent kits work well with its Fuel Vent Charcoal Canister kits.

Important Notes

• Requires a 12AN male vent fitting on the fuel cell
• On Radium FCST and FCST-X units, 12AN vent kits require a 12AN DSV (Radium 20-0462, 12AN ORB to 12AN male, quick fill) – contact us to order
• Route the vent hose upward from the cell so any fuel in the line drains back, then briefly towards the front of the vehicle to limit sloshing
• Add vertical loops to act as expansion chambers and keep the total vertical height at or above approximately 305mm (12in)
• On remote-fill systems the loops must sit higher than the fill point; loops are also recommended to keep debris out
• Terminate the vent outside the cabin, below and behind the fuel cell, and away from the exhaust
