Description
Radium DFPR, Dual Fuel Pressure Regulator
Application: Universal – dual fuel systems (e.g. engines with both direct and port injection)
Part Type: Dual fuel pressure regulator (two independent regulators in one body)
Part Number: 20-1102
The Radium Dual Fuel Pressure Regulator (DFPR) regulates two separate fuel systems at the same time from a single pump feed. It is ideal for modern engines that combine direct and port injection, and for modern venturi transfer systems that are not suited to fuel surge tanks.
Each side (FPR1 and FPR2) has its own tool-less adjustment knob with detents, and both share the RA-series 360° swivelling vacuum reference port and single stainless steel return orifice for stable, laminar flow.
Key Features
- Two Regulated Outputs: FPR1 and FPR2 outlets, each independently adjustable
- Tool-less Adjustment: Detented knobs – each detent is approx. 1 psi (±0.5 psi) depending on current pressure
- 8AN ORB Ports: PUMP IN, FPR1 OUT, FPR2 OUT and RETURN ports are all 8AN ORB (3/4"-16)
- Sensor Ports: 1/8"-27 NPT auxiliary port on each of FPR1 and FPR2 (plugs included)
- Vacuum Reference: 360° swivelling, double O-ring sealed port with four interchangeable 10-32 threaded fittings
- Fuel Compatibility: All gasoline types (unleaded, leaded, oxygenated, pre-mix) and alcohol blends (methanol, ethanol, E85)
What's Included
- Main DFPR rotating assembly
- Mounting bracket with hardware
- 5mm barbed vacuum fittings
- 1/4" push-to-connect vacuum fittings
- 3AN male vacuum fittings
- Vacuum plug fittings
- 8AN ORB to 6AN male fittings
- 8AN ORB to 8AN male fittings
Optional Parts
- Radium Diaphragm Service Replacement FPR (18-0017) – replacement FPR diaphragm for servicing
Important Notes
- FPR2 pressure is always equal to or lower than FPR1 – if rising-rate pressure takes FPR2 above its setting, FPR1 rises to match
- Without port injection, FPR2 can be plugged without affecting FPR1 – turn the FPR2 knob fully anticlockwise for FPR1 to work efficiently
- Feed the DFPR inlet from the low-pressure pump through a low-micron fuel filter
- The vacuum plug is required on returnless systems; if the tank has no return port, barbed hose adapters can return fuel through the filler pipe
- Use a medium-strength wicking thread locker on the vacuum fitting
- A rapid fuel pressure drop after the engine or pump is switched off is normal for aftermarket regulators – pressure resets as soon as the pump is reactivated
- Long cranking or slow pressure build-up is not caused by the regulator – it usually points to the feed line draining back to the tank (e.g. a leaking pump module, venturi jet pump or missing check valve)
- Installation instructions are available in the Instructions tab
Vehicle Fitment
- Universal – dual fuel systems such as combined direct and port injection engines
