The Radium Engineering 13-0406-01 is an optional 2x2 3K twill pre-preg dry carbon fibre lid for Radium RA-Series fuel cells. It is 68% lighter than the powder-coated aluminium lid that comes standard with all Radium RA-Series fuel cells.

The lid installs with the original hardware supplied with the fuel cell. When purchased with a fuel cell it comes in a separate box and is installed by the end user, and the standard aluminium lid cannot be exchanged.

• Radium Fuel Cell 24 Bolt Flange Gasket (18-0015) – Radium notes a new gasket may be needed when a drop-in fuel pump assembly (such as an FCST-X) is fitted

Important Notes

• Fits Radium RA-Series fuel cells only – these lids do not fit fuel cells made by other companies
• Radium's lid page does not state which fuel cell each lid part number suits – confirm the 6 gallon fitment with iilumolab before ordering
• Check with your racing organisation that carbon fibre is an acceptable material for the fuel cell enclosure
• When purchased with a fuel cell, the lid ships in a separate box for the end user to install – the standard aluminium lid cannot be exchanged
• Tools: 5/32in (or 4mm) Allen key for the button head bolts, 7/16in spanner for the flange nuts under the perimeter bolts, micro screwdriver for the inspection plate screws
• Torque the perimeter bolts to 6.8Nm (60 in-lb) and do not overtighten, as this can crack the carbon fibre resin
• If a drop-in fuel pump assembly (such as an FCST-X) is fitted, follow that assembly's instructions – a new gasket (18-0015) may be needed
