Description
Radium Air Oil Separator - Universal Kit
Application: Universal – all engine types with a suitable crankcase breather/return port
Part Type: Air oil separator-return (AOS-R), vent to engine (VTE)
Part Number: 20-0219
High-output engines often produce more blow-by oil and gas than a small catch can can handle. The Radium Universal AOS-R separates oil and contaminants from crankcase vapour before they reach the intake, then returns the collected oil to the sump above the oil level – so, unlike a catch can, it needs no emptying.
Engine coolant circulates through a heating chamber to keep the unit warm and prevent internal condensation, while a water trap around the bottom edge stops water reaching the sump. Part 20-0219 is the vent-to-engine (VTE) version with a top inlet and side outlet routed back into the intake or turbo inlet pipe – recommended for MAF-equipped engines.
Key Features
- Oil Return: Returns separated oil to the sump – no emptying required
- Coolant Heated: Heating chamber prevents internal condensation
- Water Trap: Keeps water from reaching the sump
- Vent to Engine: Top inlet and side outlet – suits MAF sensor engines
- Serviceable: Splits into three large billet pieces; dipstick checks for a return obstruction
- Rotating Mount: Aluminium mount rotates 360°
- Cleaner Intake: Reduces oil build-up in the intake, intercooler, throttle body and manifold, and lowers hydrocarbon emissions
What's Included
- 1x Machined aluminium AOS-R unit
- 1x Aluminium 360° rotating mount
- 2x 5/16in barbed coolant fittings
- Stainless steel hardware
Optional Parts
- Radium Engineering AOS-R - Universal VTA (Vent to Atmosphere) (20-0819) – vent-to-atmosphere version (not recommended for MAF engines)
Important Notes
- The engine needs a breather/return port high enough that oil is not drawn from the sump, yet low enough to connect to the AOS-R bottom port
- Mount the AOS-R so its bottom port sits higher than the engine return port, with the return hose running downhill
- Coolant must be routed through the unit to prevent condensation
- Insulation sleeving (not included) is recommended on hoses exposed to cold air
- 10AN ORB fittings are required for the inlet, outlet and return ports (sold separately)
- Installation instructions are available in the Instructions tab
