Because the lift pump height must be set to suit the fuel cell, the lift pump is packed loose; if Radium assembles the FCST-X into a fuel cell it is pre-installed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA lift pump scavenges fuel from the bottom of the cell into the 2.6L surge tank, where up to 3 EFI pumps in separate filtration chambers feed the engine. Three one-way fill valves (355LPH each) top up the surge tank whenever the cell level is higher, and the FPR return is also routed into the surge tank to keep it full – so the engine stays fed even if the lift pump starves.
