It mounts in the left-hand side of the engine bay near the brake master cylinder at the rear of the engine compartment.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAt idle, steady cruise and deceleration this hose sees metered vacuum, which can draw crankcase vapour, unburned fuel and oil sludge into the intake; the can captures those liquids before they reach the engine.
